The Crossover by Bridgez

It is usually the case that women who enter into a genre that is predominately male, they find themselves having to battle additionally issues aside from having to break into the industry as a new artiste. There comes challenges with the types of lyrics used, how she dresses, her links with other male artistes – whether she is dating them or not, and the list goes on. Bridgez, born Bridgett Roache, began her musical career at the tender age of 11 years old when she was a member of a musical group within her church. Bridgez joined one more music group before eventually decided to break out on her own as a solo artiste. She gained her beginning experience with producers such as David “Hizzle” Hayle and Jordan McClure of Chimney Records, legendary producer “Jack Scorpio” and Billboard chart topping producer “Jah Snowcone”. All of these producers were impressed with the sound of Bridgez and her obvious versatility over riddims. Bridgez has been in the music industry for over 3 years now and she was recently recruited to be a member of the Alliance Family with the moniker Lady Alliance being dubbed upon her as she is the first female artiste under the camp of Bounty Killer, di Five-Star General.

The mixtape includes her cuts entitled ‘Roll Out‘ which features Bounty Killer and ‘Cry‘ which features Sahie as well as record she record with Timberlee entitled ‘No Way‘. I love the versatility that Bridgez displays in her music, after listening to the mixtape in it’s entirety a few times over I found that throughout the duration Bridgez was able to do tracks with a true deejay style on tracks such as ‘Good Good Good‘ and she was also able to record more singjay styled records such as ‘Take Your Time‘. I would highly recommend that you download this mixtape.

If you’re hearing about Bridgez for the first time, this mixtape is a great introduction for you. It was mixed by a Sound System straight outta South London across the Atlantic in the United Kingdom, DJ FearLess
